<description>The October free date sticker sheet is now ready! I tried something different for this month’s date sticker sheet. Instead of drawing individual items, I’m painting them all together as a whole! I first painted a paper with indigo, leaf green, and violet watercolors. I then added scribbles with fountain pen and metallic pen. I also added some alphabet stamps, hoping to create a collage feel for each sticker.

<description>When I thought that April was a tough month, May is even worse… and I can’t imagine what June’d be like…
Well, at least I’ve continued to make art…
I’ve decided to be more focused when working on the ACEO projects, and tried to work with some themes. I’ve worked on is the “Girls in the Universe” series (shown above). I had fun randomly applying colors onto the paper, and then worked out the details using negative painting techniques.

<description>Been playing with the new iPad, and was having fun with this painting app Inspire and the photo effects app Pixlr-o-matic.*** ***
Inspire is quite easy to use, and I really like how the colors can be blended together beautifully. However, the canvas size is too small for the free version, and the image looks kinda blur when you view it on the computer.

I did a small painting on it the next day, it looked great when I just finished, but it ‘shrink’ and wrinkle up the next day! I tried to press it down with my sketchbooks but it seems too late, does anyone know how to fix it??

      <description>brush pen on rice paper
At first, I was just gonna practice drawing more pandas by following the instructions on the chinese-tools site… then I came across this post on Stefan G. Bucher’s DAILY MONSTER site and thought that maybe I can fill the page with 100 pandas too! So this is what I got after 5 days! This is the first piece of work that took me so long :P feeling somewhat accomplished though.

Finally got some Chinese ink, and a big brush, so just practicing here. This is the biggest thing I’ve ever painted. I have to put it on the floor to take a picture.

<description>2.5*3.5″, acrylics on canvas paper, 20min
Just wanted to try out the canvas paper I bought yesterday. First time painting on ‘canvas’, it feels good! It’s a lot easier to paint on the canvas paper than on the bristol board. The color wasn’t what I planned for, but I never followed my own plan so as long as it turns out alright, it doesn’t matter. And I think it looks pretty good, what a nice surprise.

<description>Thinking of re-drawing those mspaint drawings onto paper, and here are some attempts.
I messed up the color of its head, so I just painted it into all black.
Didn’t really like the background too… it doesn’t look like a ‘web’ now.. not sure what to do with it.. it looks too empty when it’s blank…

blue flower: colors be more greeny… it was painted wet in wet at first, but decided to just add colors directly from the tube using a dry brush at last…

Wanted to paint one of those “streetlight paintings” photos, but it didn’t turn out right at all. Don’t know how to paint lights. I just kept painting over and over and finally settle with this. Not happy about it, maybe I’ll paint it over again later, but that’s it for today.
